Moblogging made too easy!

Typepad, the company that hosts my blog, just came out with an interface that makes it super easy to post a blog from the iPhone. In fact, I'm using it now to post this blog! It's obviously web-based (like most new "features" will be): you simply go to i.typeped.com and the user interface fits beautifully on the screen. There's also a secret email address that I'm assigned that lets me email posts to the blog, but I haven't tried it out yet. Oh boy, just after I promised myself in my previous blog to spend less time on the Internet!

  • Deborah Raney: A Nest of Sparrows

Deborah Raney: A Nest of Sparrows
Another good one by Deborah Raney. For the full effect, don't read the book's back cover like I did. It gives away too much. Even so, I was turning pages like crazy to see how A Nest of Sparrows would end.

  • Deborah Raney: After the Rains

    Deborah Raney: After the Rains
Yet another good book by one of my newest favorite authors. Unusual twist at the end. I didn't see it coming!

  • Deborah Raney: In the Still of Night

Deborah Raney: In the Still of Night
Another good book by Deborah. Very creative outcome; I wasn't expecting it, but it "fit" nicely.

  • Deborah Raney: Beneath a Southern Sky

Deborah Raney: Beneath a Southern Sky
A powerful book about how a couple must face a decision that affects their own lives. Although the situation was revealed about halfway through the book, I still wasn't sure how the ending would turn out until the last few pages. I was unable to put this book down.

  • Deborah Raney: A Vow To Cherish

Deborah Raney: A Vow To Cherish
I read A Vow to Cherish in two sittings. Could not put it down; very moving and the struggles that John faces when his wife Ellen gets early Alzheimer's will bring tears and you'll feel your heart expanding up into your throat; it's that moving. If ever faced with a similar situation, I hope to have the same revelation that John ended up having.

  • Jamie Langston Turner: Winter Birds

    Jamie Langston Turner: Winter Birds
I just finished Winter Birds today; another gem by Jamie Turner. The way she intertwines Shakespeare themes and quotes, winter birds and their characteristics, and excerpts from the Milestones feature in Time Magazine is amazing. Such very different types of "literature" and all for the purpose of highlighting how it is possible to soften the heart of an old lady who has been calloused by life's circumstances.

  • Jamie Langston Turner: Some Wildflower in my Heart

Jamie Langston Turner: Some Wildflower in my Heart
I love all of Jamie's books. She just came out with Winter Birds, her 6th book. You cannot put them down! The characters are so human and they learn so much about the love and mercy of God through ordinary people in their lives.

  • Bess Streeter Aldrich: Miss Bishop
One of the best books I've ever read; the story of a lady who spent her life and career helping others at an apparent sacrifice to her own happiness. Sound old-fashioned? No... it's a classic! One of the few books I've read more than once. By the way, all of Bess Streeter Aldrich's books are wonderful!
